I’ve had this book for quite a while but never got around to reading it until last week. But it’s a great one-stop shop for organizational leadership. It basically is an integrated presentation of all of his other books with a holistic vision for organizational leadership and health. It’s not a fable like his other books, but it’s rich with concentrated sections full of wisdom and principles related to key areas for organizational leadership. That includes change, vision, strategy formulation, team and organizational culture, value formation, meetings and more.
I’m a big fan of Lencioni and was fortunate to get to meet him and spend some time with him. The one book he asked me if I’d read was this one, and it was just about the only book I hadn’t read of his. I ‘ve posted brief reviews on many of Lencioni’s other books over the years so you can search this blog for those, but if I had to recommend just one of all those books – it probably would be this one. You don’t necessarily need those other books to really benefit from this one and understand the basic ideas of all the other books. But if you’re leading a team at any level – highly recommend this one!
