Junior Politics

So I got home the night of the inauguration and the next morning in the frenzy of being united with my kids this conversation ensued:

Morgan: “Dad, we have a new President!”

Dad: “That’s right. Do you know what his name is?”

Morgan: “It’s Barack Obama.

Dad: “You’re right. Do you think he’s gonna do a good job?”

Morgan: “Sure.”

Dad: “What do you think the President does?”

Morgan: “He’s the guy that takes care of everything.”

Dad: “Really?”

Morgan: “Hey Dad, guess what?”

Dad: “What.”

Morgan: “Barack Obama rhymes with Chewbacca!”

At first I thought that was pretty random, but when I thought about it I guess Barack and -bacca kind of sound similar. I know have a new image when the hear the new prez’s name.

Anyway, another great moment of passing down knowledge of our political process from one generation to the next 🙂
