Between the crazy typhoons and flooding and the start of the school year, IGSL completed a 2nd wave of our English for Cross-Cultural Ministry. We had pastors, missionaries, Cru staff, and church planters from Korea, Mongolia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and more go through our English as a Second Language program with a view toward ministry effectiveness. A bonus of this program is that it has also become a recruiting platform from these countries to IGSL WHILE it also is elevating English ability that is necessary to study at IGSL. But while learning English is great, the ministry and Great Commission vision and energy of these groups is what is really exciting! This has become a really great strategy to build our network with key leaders in South and Southeast Asia.
IGSL was also involved in a lot of flooding relief work this past month as so many homes in Manila were flooded and communities disrupted. You can keep praying as Manila keeps bouncing back!
