It’s hard to believe it’s only been a little over a week since we landed in the Phiippines. It’s been a full week with so much learning and so many new experiences. We’ll highlight a few and hopefully as we have more access to the internet on campus we’ll be able to give more updates.
The biggest thing for us so far has been the hospitality of the IGSL staff and community. They have been helping us transition with meals, showing us around, and helping us get functional. We’re starting to get more in the flow of things here at the school and meeting more students. It’s pretty amazing what’s happening at this place and who’s here. We wish you could be here or visit to get a taste of it. Very unique and very powerful to be a part of. We’ll share more.
The kids are doing great. They all are battling heat rash pretty regularly, but have been great sports. We’ll be adjusting for a while more we’re sure, but it’s fun to start preparing for the fall semester and starting to build relationships with faculty and students. More to come!
