Family Updates and Prayer Requests – Jan 24

Here’s some of the students in the class Brian is teaching this term on strategic leadership and leading teams. It’s a really fun term working with soon to be graduates who are working on their future ministry plans!

Family Updates, Praises, and Prayer Requests

  • Morgan is doing great. She’s pain-free and walking normally and it’s amazing to see her walk around with full extension of her foot. She continues to enjoy school and she’ll finish her last semester of middle school here while also serving as class President.
  • Brian is back to full strength as the Christmas break allowed him to get his strength back after Dengue. There’s a couple month recovery period, but he was able to finish one of his doctoral courses and finish the class he was teaching last term. He’s enjoying teaching without the effects of dengue now and you can see some of his current students above.
  • Both Brian and I are heavily involved this term hosting 4 different couples who are exploring joining us. There’s so much happening at once right now, but it’s a blessing to see God raise up potential future teammates to help fill critical needs. Please pray for new faculty and that God confirms the right people to fill some of these roles.
  • I helped lead a retreat for our PIM Extension coordinators as we are overhauling their approach. It is truly amazing how much this ministry has multiplied and is now resourcing pastor’s wives and their husbands in so many places. We have pastor’s wives traveling up to 4 hrs a week on buses to attend their weekly classes. You can pray we restructure wisely and for efforts to update the course manual for future effectiveness.
  • Both PIM and our Degree programs are going through curriculum revision, which has been so hard and it’s been very taxing on Brian. Please pray for perseverance and good teamwork for us all as we seek to upgrade our school’s curriculum for the next decade of ministry.

  • The student in yellow above, Brother Thirugnanam from India, is in Brian’s class this term but just got word his father passed away so he has just returned to India for a week to be with family and mourn. Please pray for him.
  • Brian has begun working on his dissertation proposal and is hoping to submit it before the summer. Please pray for him as he finishes his coursework over the next 6 months and moves into the dissertation phase.

Thank you all for praying – this term is big with so much change and challenge, but it’s a blessing to see God at work in changing lives and preparing them for lifetimes of ministry!                                          In Christ,
                                            Christine (for the Virtues)
